Portrait photography can be done anywhere. A way to step up your portraits is to take them in beautiful locations. I took pictures of several male models in different landscapes. It is better to create more sharp lines, instead of soft, when lighting a man’s face. This brings out the definition in their face.

For this picture, I used a reflector to create light on my model’s face. I had to position myself and the reflector specifically so that there wouldn’t be a reflection in his glasses. This is important to remember when taking pictures of people with glasses.

This is one of my favorite men’s landscape portraits. The steam from the Yellowstone geysers set a cool background behind him, and I used a flash to light up his face. Because of this, he is lit up but his background is still dark. . I brought out the blues and purples of the background in editing.

This is a perfect example of men’s landscape portrait photography. This picture shows the model and the Tetons. It created a beautiful portrait! I wanted this to appear like it was taken with film, so in editing I brought out the blues and the darks. The photo turned out amazing!

For this picture, I had to make sure the light on his face was harsh, while creating soft light on the other model. This ensured that they both were photographed beautifully.
