Landscape photography is a beautiful technique, but it can be hard to be original when taking pictures of the same spots as other people. There are a few ways to create unique landscape photos. One of those is landscape light painting photography. This technique creates unique light patterns on your subject!

When you are light painting, you need a very long shutter speed. For these shots, my shutter speed was 15 seconds. I wanted enough time to get all the light I wanted in! Landscape light painting is very similar to indoor light painting, you just don’t have to turn the lights off! You just need to wait until it is dark enough outside. For these photos, my ISO was 400 and my f-stop was f/22.

I love these pictures! For this landscape light painting photography, we light steel wool on fire and spun it in a circle. We also had someone shining a bright flashlight on the bridge. It is amazing!
